Application Process

We are delighted that you wish to pursue a graduate education at the Martin School, and hope to make your application process as smooth as possible. To apply for Martin School master and doctoral degree programs, you will need to send some application materials to the Martin School and others to the University of Kentucky Graduate School.

For the Martin School application, we ask for three letters of recommendation, a one- to three-page statement describing why you wish to pursue your graduate degree, and an information form that tells us about your educational and professional background. A writing sample, while optional, is useful for PhD applications. An optional resume may be included in with any application.
